Modeled on Chicago's famous pizza, The Deep Dish Lakeshore Biopond provides a sheltered and clean swimming area next to the Lakefront Trail. Plants naturally filter the water and provide a habitat for endangered dragonflies and small birds. Come swim among the “pepperoni” lily pads and other naturally occurring toppings, or simply perch on the “crust” and dip your feet into the cooling waters.
